Challenge:

Success:
In 2024 Ustigate was delighted to be awarded the contract to establish a new splash park at Tredegar Park by Newport City Council. The project included a fun and vibrant splash pad with a recirculation system to PWTAG standards, EN1177 bowtop fencing and self closing gates, and a refurbishment of the changing rooms with an exterior ramp to provide ease of access for everyone.
There is an aquatic play favourite for every age and ability at Splash Port, with plenty of products that guarantee active play for all! There is a massive Supersplash tipping bucket that soaks a multitude of water players at every given time, a Bucket Trio with three smaller tipping buckets and two water cannons that offer lots of aiming and firing fun. Central to the pad, there are two pretty, self-spinning Helico Nano’s, with six rotating water streams and a beautiful Bloom No.1 with 360° rotation that invites children to navigate the spin and spiralling sprays. The splash pad takes the form of a kidney shape and at the opposite end of the only enter if you are planning to get soaked zone, is a gentle and placid water play area, perfect for Newport’s younger age group. There is an array of fine and vertical ground sprays, a low level Waterbug and a Bobble No.1 with its self-spinning orb in an overflowing bowl of water, offering beginners a nice close-up experience with the water. This is an area where timid children can calmly enjoy the sensation of water at their fingertips and toes, at their own pace. Splash Port is an inclusive and accessible water play facility with twenty-six interactive products that offer something special for everyone.
Splash Port at Tredegar Park is open between spring and September.
